Play Makers (Grades 2 – 5)
Have you ever wondered how slime is made, how a robotic creature moves, or how wooden toys are created? Young makers expand their knowledge of hand tools, and building materials while building skills through the invention and fabrication of toys and games! This workshop is infused with problem solving, invention, and play. Young makers investigate the science behind playful materials like slime, fabrication techniques that go into toys and games of chance, and independent discovery through the design and construction of toys with mechanical movements All projects go home!
