Jillian is a Community Artist from Baltimore Maryland. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts with a Concentration in Painting from Towson University in 2009, and her MFA in Community Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2013. Her work uses visual and experiential influences to reflect on social issues surrounding education, politics, social stigmas, addiction and mental illness. Jillian’s philosophy for the classroom encourages all students to find their own creative voice, while working collaboratively with others, to create meaningful relationships.
