Young makers explore the connections between the energy in their muscles, the potential energy in compressed air, and the forces that work on a paper air rocket. This workshop is all about movement and is perfect for a physical education period. It is designed to take place in gymnasiums or outdoor play areas.
FutureMakers provides two coaches, two custom-built compressed air launchpads and materials for all students to build awesome paper rockets.
This workshop is perfect for Pk-8 classrooms that are exploring cause and effect, pneumatics and compression, the physics of flight, and the engineering design process. During out-of-school time it’s a popular addition to community events and family engagement nights.
